I DECIDED TO HAVE ONE FS THREAD THAT I LINK TO FROM MY SIG AND I CAN COMPILE EVERYTHING THAT IS STILL FS.

* Konami Hybrid Sound Chip cap kits for 054544 and 054986A
$4 each plus $4 shipping (if just a kit) You can have original surface mount type or standard caps with solder leads.
NOTE: for Konami 4P games with these chips. You should have this chip capped before the sound starts going on you and the underside of the hybrid chip can get destroyed as all of these caps are no leaking.

* Neo Geo MVS Board kits (Audio/Battery) $8 This kit comes with all of the caps for the audio section of all MVS boards. It also comes with a CR2032 battery holder so that can modify your board to not use the rechargeable battery. This is problematic for home machines that don't get turned on all the time. A simple CR2032 should last you HS saves for many years. This comes w/ a new Battery.

* New Happ Classic style buttons w/ nut (no switch) (Nylon in red, green, blue, yellow, black and white) 4 for $3. For $8 you can have a NEW 2P Neo Geo set, which includes 3 white ones. The Neo Geo set has 11 buttons.

* Outrun Enhancement HS kits w/ the super capacitor $20 (only 4 left)

NES Top Loader (Mint new-ish and CIB) $120
I have had very little play time on this Top loader. It also comes with a 2nd matching dog bone controller. I had 4 but lost 2 somewhere along the years. I bought this new and played less than 5 hours on it before putting it away in a console case somewhere. I recently put the set back into the box but now doubt that I'll ever play it. It's awesome for collectors. LMK and I'll take pictures. Just putting it up here to see if there is interest.

Why doesn't anyone just reproduce these Konami custom sound boards. Don't they unsolder with hot air. If so it ought to be a 5 minute job to replace the blasted things if you had a new one to put in their place.

Part of the problem is the underside of the thing hasn't been documented and even the top hasn't (though the top shouldn't be hard to document). The underside also has some kind of custom IC surface mounted to it so unless a replacement is available for that, you'd have to remove and install it on a replacement. Speaking for myself, I don't have the equipment and skill to much surface mount work. I would love to see this hybrid documented though.

Those Capcom cpo's are beautiful, I wish I would have picked up more for my eventual Big Blue army (well, I'm hoping to at least have a dedicated 3rd Strike, Super Turbo, and Alpha 3).

I just added a MVS board kit that has enough caps for all MVS board and a CR2032 holder to modify it for a non-rechargable battery.
The battery is a good mod for home use MVS machines. This is because we don't run it long enough and daily to charge the battery.
