Robocop in decent condition, the 25" monitor looks ok, not brilliant but good. has the marquee, the correct cpo, and glass overlay.
Breakthru, has water damage, has the marquee, generic cpo and monitor bezel, works great and the 25" monitor looks great.

Both machines have been sitting under a shed unplugged and forgotten for many years at a campground near my house. every time i ask the owner about them he asks for an offer and I wouldnt do it. BUT THIS TIME i plugged in the units to test them so i know more about them now. what should i offer for these? this time he said go look at them, plug them up and call him back and he'd ask his wife (what a puss, haha) I'd likely buy them just for parts, keep what i need, sell the rest, and trash the cabs if i couldnt sell them whole for a little extra dough.

what should i offer?

Pictures of the games would get you a much better quote from us, but, I'll give it a shot...

I believe the standard Data East rounded marquee cabinet which housed most the Robocops, Bad Dudes, and Sly Spys, were only 19" monitors. However, if these cabs are something other than the standard and they do in fact have 25" monitors in there, I think that would add a little bit of value to them. In my area in the NW, a very nice dedicated, HUO Robocop would yield $300 maximum. However 9 times outta ten, they're not perfect, and they end up selling for around $150 maximum.
As for the Breakthru, the cab sounds like trash, but if it powers up and play, you've gotta think about how much the parts are worth. If it was a 25" tube instead of a 19", I'd give him $75 for it and trash the water damaged cab later.
NOW....because these seem to be sitting around, unused and forgotten about, I'd hit him up with $100 first just to see his counter-offer. If he says "$300", I think you'd be getting hosed. $150 for both seems KLOV reasonable.

my two cents.

after thinking about it, they were both 19". just by looking at them i thought 25, but now that i'm at home and i'm looking at my bedroom tv which is 25, i know thats much bigger. so they're 19's sorry

Hmmmm.... I think knowing they are only 19" tubes, and the games are just laying around unused, I'd offer him $40 a game. See what he says, but I wouldn't pay anymore than $125- $150 on those two. By the sound of it, you can just find better finds on craigslist for that price.
