I just moved my PPII about four feet to make room for another game. I plugged it back in and flipped the switch the Marquee lit up, but there was no image on the monitor (monitor is new). So I turned it off and then switched it back on. Now in addition to the game not turning on the marquee doesn't light up.

I took the back off and the led lights on the CPU aren't lighting so I am thinking perhaps it's a powers supply issue.

The coin door lights are active and the marquee seems to be hot (I got a little zap from the light bracket).

Any thoughts? Is this just life with a PPII?

Check your grounds. The marquee should not shock you when you touch it. Unless you were saying that you pulled the bulb, while the machine was on, and got shocked. If that is the case then your bulb or starter could have died.

As for the other problem, check for power to the ARII power supply.

Also check the inter-connect board between the PCBs.

It doesn't take much for this to lose proper contact.
Any small "shaking" could do it...
