I have to confess that I just hacked my PP today. I usually prefer to run an alligator clip to player 2 buttons from the coin mech switch. Some people refer to it as the Bob Roberts method since he wrote about it. Not an option with PP since there isn't any buttons. The free play setting for the board sucks. I was thinking about swapping in the free play roms which look attractive but I would like to keep the code original and I'd have to buy the roms for both pp1 and pp2 boards I have. I'm not installing a button or getting that flat cable thing.
So I decided to do the lesser of all evils - took some popsicle stick wood, copper tape, cut a alligator clip in half and double sided taped. Easy to undo. See video to either flame me or think about doing it to your machine.
