anybody have a good solution for this? didn't find anything at lowes yesterday that i liked. i have seen some people using blacklight carpeting but i'd like to find a close to original replacement.

Pretty sure what they have at lowes/home depot is almost identical. At least it's the same as what's used on Battlezone so I'm assuming it's the same as what was used on pole position. Got mine in the carpet section on one of those big roll racks where you roll off the length you want and pay by the foot. I think it was something like 2.59 per foot and something like 30 or 36 inches wide.

Looks somewhat like this:

My cockpit had a black indoor/outdoor carpet glued in which I believe was factory. I ripped that out and installed a sample of blacklight carpet from Astromills.com in its place. I like the look, the sample fit with minimal retrofitting and it glows under the blacklight. Can't go wrong.

That looks awesome. I used to play a lot of PP on the 2600 and I bet yours plays great!

Damn Phet! You always have something awesome to show! That carpet looks awesome! I wouldn't show my hobbit feet on camera!

So, did I convince you to go BL? Or are you gonna go with the old standard (but not factory) 'ribbed for her pleasure' rubber? I have a plan to pimp my cockpit that may or may not include carpet balls and hydraulic shocks. This is only the beginning.
