I finished up a bit of a project this past weekend that I'd like to share.

I wanted a solution to play music videos and movies (wargames, tron, etc) to give my game room a bit of ambiance, however there's not a whole lot of real estate in my game room. I didn't want a full sized TV because it might mean that there'd be one less game I could fit. So I built this little TV enclosure/power switch.

I also decided to integrate the on/off buttons for my games into the design witch are run thru a wireless blekin conserve power strip.

The switches, in order: Games (turns on all of my 8 games), Lights (blacklights & laser star projector), Video (the screen). I still need to hide the wires. The screen is a small 7" tv that I got for real cheap off of amazon. The enclosure is laser cut bamboo and acrylic. I think the enclosure is about 9 inches square.

Here's a video of it playing my Journey 2002 live CD:

Oh man. Too bad that wireless Belkin power strip doesn't allow you to turn on individual ports. That'd be sweet. Still, looks like a possible future investment for me. Thanks for sharing.
