I'm trying to redo my MK2 power supply wiring. I am confused on what these 2 ports are ...
1st one says COM
2nd one says N/C

any help is welcomed as i've tried basically them all and no picture is coming up but the monitor is turning on and the marquee and coin door light come on as well. I am simply unfamiliar with this type of supply and had it laying around as a backup.

Thanks

Chris

com=common ground (I think) someone else will chime in on that I am sure.

what is the value at the top, where the black wires are connected? the wires hide if it says -5v, etc.

COM is short for "Common" which is another name for (DC) ground. N/C almost certainly means "Not Connected" in this context.

Here are some common abbreviations seen on a power supply and what they mean:

N/C = No Connection, a.k.a. Not Connected
L = Line (Hot, the black wire)
N = Neutral (the white wire)
FG = Field Ground (AC Ground)
G = Ground
Com = Common, a.k.a. Ground
+sense = + Sensing, hook it to the +5v line at the edge of the board.

The Sense line is not normally found on power supplies. It's used to help the supply automatically adjust its output to keep a steady +5v at the board edge. You see this a lot on the Atari AR series of power supply regulator boards.
