My Konami Racing Jam needs a power supply. Bought the game sans power supply. The game uses this type of connector. Are most of the power supplies with this style connector universal?

On my Racing Jam, it has the bottom two rows of pins, and in the top row, only the middle pin. What do I need?

Industry standard for game power supplies and connector pinout:

Standard # 17 on that page (complete with typos and mis-spellings).

The first power supplies to use this connector for games was the "XT" style. Your picture is of the "AT" style.

This may help:

If your cabinet uses the "AT" style this will work:

If it uses the "XT" style then you must know whether your cabinet uses a power supply with a built-in power switch or if it has a dongle harness that a cabinet mounted power switch plugs into the power supply.

Here are the two types of XT supplies:

Built in switch: http://www.happcontrols.com/powersupplies/80001500.htm

Needs external switch: http://www.happcontrols.com/powersupplies/80007200.htm

You need an AT power supply it looks like, not an ATX power supply. The main difference is that the ATX has a connector that goes to a PC motherboard where an electronic switch that turns on or off the power supply. The AT style, I believe, turns on or off with the power switch on the PS.

Of course, and ATX can be adapted to work as an AT....
