I'm using a Mario Bros board in a jamma cab with a jamma adapter. Isn't working so well, and I think my power supply is underpowered. Has anyone succesfully done this, and what are the specs on your switching power supply? I had it working with an old power supply that broke, and I threw it away without writing down the specs. :( It barely worked since it stopped working when I added the high score kit.

On a related note, what's the biggest baddest switching power supply on the market? :)

Thanks!
Gary

Any power supply from the standard Peter Chou 12 amp and up should run a Mario Bros board without a problem, on the power supply question a 1000 watt pc power supply should almost provide enough power to heat your game room and run your games.

Thanks guys.

The board worked at Dick's place, but doesn't work with Barry S's switcher or my Happ switcher. I have another one here that I can wire up to a test rig and test again. I'll double check all the voltages as well.

Dokert, that is especially good to hear. . i was concerned that it wouldn't work with a switcher for some reason.

I set up a jamma test rig in the garage with a Happ power supply. I get the same problem there, in my Double Dragon cab (another happ power supply), and over at Barry S's place. To (hopefully) rule out the jamma adapter, I tried Barry's adapter at his place.

I think the next step is to put it in an actual Mario Bros machine, or possibly bring it by Dokert's to see if it works in his test rig which has a happ power supply and a working Mario Bros board. What do you think?

Gary - I have access to a Mario Bros in Marysville if you need to test it, or I'm sure Dave could test it for you. - Barry

Thanks!

A friend is really local that has one in his garage (behind some other machines). I need to get over there when it isn't raining out so that we can get to it.
