Hey is there a certain place you guys buy your power cords for your games? Maybe a good price /quality place you get them from. Was just wondering my Gorf restore needs a new power cord since the ground prong was broken off. Any input appeciated and if you got an extra lying around pm me!

you dont need a plug with a ground prong but it is ideal, some games act funny if you dont have it and its safer to have it, i usually use a pc power supply cord and chop a end off, looks new and is cheap

Bob Roberts sells them with the Atari/Midway/whatever connector already installed. Sounds lazy, but I've tended to throw them in when I'm already making an order for other things.

Some computer shops sell them cheap or give them away since they are so plentiful. I typically use PC or server power cords, depending on my needs. Server power cords are typically larger gauge and longer. As others have said, just cut the end off and wire in.

It may work fine with the ground gone but it's not safe. I usually buy my cords from Bob when I need other parts. - Barry

It hasn't been said here, but should be. Get a cord with nothing higher than 18GA and 16GA if you can. The lower the gauage (GA), the thicker the electrical wire and the easier it is for power to flow (that is a simplistic statement, but you get the point). For some of my heavier amp games, I run 14GA, and while that may be overkill, it can handle the load easily.
