So I have a spy hunter with a rusted non working power block. I would like to beatify this thing and get it working. I have a few of my games with this ps so it will be the first of many. Does anybody have the replacement capisitor info and where to but them? If there are places selling bulk even better. The 55,000 and 100,000 caps are on BR for $25 and $35 but I need 10 of them so it adds up quickly :(
I assume the isolation stransformer can just be wire brushed and reprinted?

The 55K (actually 56K now) is just $15 and the 100K is $20, so $35 total plus shipping, just got mine Friday. Splattergatz is correct, the motor start cap can be found at Grainger, but you may to wait for shipping to the store. I think it was mentioned here that 3.5 uF are no longer made, only 3 or 4 uF, both of which are said to work. I bought the 4 uF for $7.18. It is a bit smaller in size (both height and oval 'diameters'), so I couldn't get the clamp to get super tight, but slipping in some cardstock should solve it. Either way, it won't go anywhere. One user found some original 3.5 uF caps cheap (see his great write-up here: https://sites.google.com/site/3vmearcade/Home/tron/tron-mcr-suitcase-rebuild) but the website has a minimum order plus shipping. You may also want to replace the diodes, but those can be anywhere from $6 to $9 depending on where you order from.

EDIT: Balls, I should have read that write-up more carefully. The 1N1199's he used are equivalent to the NTE5870's I bought, and those are cheaper. I guessed those diodes were different since the power chassis was different, but the specs are the same.
