I have a Frankensteined game that I am trying to deconvert into its proper two games. It has an old Midway power supply and has been jammacized and is hooked up to a switching power supply. I will be taking out the Midway parts and cleaning them up and giving them a proper home. In the meantime, I also need to rewire the power on the jamma game. The plan is to un-splice the classic parts from the jamma parts.

It appears that every ground wire in the game was cut. I was wondering why until I saw a label on the switcher that warned not to connect it to an earth ground but only connect it to a field ground. How do I properly ground the game?

If I use the new plug in the picture which has a fuse and EMI filter, do I need the original dual fuse and interference filter? I would rather safe these for a classic rebuild.

Never heard that one before, I've always earthed the FG terminal on my power supplies.

No, of course not.

The two fuses on the Pacman style power supply went to two different things. (Monitor & Marquee IIRC)

The new plug would go with the switching power supply without issue. Using it with the old Pacman style power supply, not so much.
