Scammer alert. The user ID is LoneStar. Here are all of his posts:

https://forums.arcade-museum.com/search.php?searchid=13670473

He has said he is dealing with personal issues and has been in this for 20 years with this being his first significant internet transaction activity. Still unexcusable until he fulfills his end of the transaction. He has made multiple sales posting with the same MO and outcome.

If this all turns out well, great. Until then, asking that mods don't allow him to receive and send PM's, preventing others from also falling victim. But still allow him to respond. Any other members have dealings with him, please feel free to chime in. This is the thread where I was caught up in this: Two ms Pac-Man and one Pac-Man pcbs

I called it. Dodged a bullet with that Final Fight. Can't believe he was allowed to sell on here with less than 10 posts when he first started selling.

I posted in the neutral a couple days ago, this should be in trade deals possibly going bad section.

Hate to see this happen.

Hate to see someone in Texas try this.

Being a Texan, this really pisses me off.

Jerks are you everywhere. I pretty much don't use FF anymore. Should be like 100 post limit before you can sell.

Jerks are you everywhere.

Agreed. Jerks are everywhere.

I pretty much don't use FF anymore.

No one should ever use F&F unless it is actually your family or your friend or unless you are accustomed to sending cash in an envelope to perfect strangers on a regular basis.

Should be like 100 post limit before you can sell.

This I disagree with. Why shouldn't someone new here be allowed to sell? Do we want to discourage new people from offering potentially great stuff/games just because they are new? Or do we want to encourage SPAM posts to meet the 100 post requirement.

As long as people protect themselves (buyer beware) and use appropriate payment methods (cash on pickup or a payment service with protection) things should [generally] be okay.

hi :

Well the other option is to cancel it with your bank. You can specify an issue with incorrect payment details. Your receiver never replied to your payment being received.

I'm not saying don't do this, but be ready for the shit PayPal may try to pull. Historically, they have frozen your account, at times for months on end, meaning not only can you not use PP anymore, but it causes problems with the bank you have linked as well.

Again, I'm not saying don't do this, I'm just saying, understand it could cause more problems. Of course, maybe it's worth it, depending on how much you lost.

I'm still worried about getting my $355 back even though I did it with buyer protection. I'm not sure how it works. With eBay it's very quick and easy, just PP though, not sure. PP is making us wait 20 days before the "next step". If he closes the account out, I'm not sure what happens. I wonder if PP eats it?

I don't know all the forums or rules. But I put it here as a PSA.

Looks like the mods took action. I sent funds as G&S's, not F&F. Unless I know the guy, I think 4 cents on the dollar is a good price to pay for peace of mind. Now to wait for Paypal to take action.

Another thing is this dude has my phone number and address. Anyone have concerns around this?
