Poster for the arcade.

One of the first posters I had as a kid.
Not much to do with Arcades, but still badass ... :001_scool:

Here's the list of posters that I wanted as a kid.
1) Farrah Fawcett in swimsuit
2) Women bending over net playing tennis.
3) Orangutan giving the finger.

Honorable mention

Kitten saying "Hang in there" but you already posted that.

I always admired Nagel's work, but I could never afford it. I just couldn't find a piece for a reasonable price.

I do have several comic book covers and some original art from SF artists. Those are what will line my office after I get done with this outage and paint stuff. Man, moving into a new house is a lot of freaking work.

I like framing the 80's MAD magazines... They had some classic 80's covers for sure. Lampooning everything from video games, Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Stallone, Schwarzenegger, E.T., WWF, and everything else lovable about the 80's...

Between my game room, garage, and pole barn, I have about a dozen MAD magazines framed on the walls. A couple of my favorites:

In addition, my parents owned a small theater during the 80s/90s and I still have a number of the original theater posters.

And who can deny a 1973 The Who tour poster??

.

Damn! You guys are pulling up some killer stuff! Great pictures all around. The thread has inspired me to order a few old school posters myself. I'll post pics when I get them up. I couldn't pull the trigger on any Nagels...just to darned expensive. LOL

Does anybody else remember shops in the malls back in the 80s that just sold posters?
We had one in the Grossmont Center mall in San Diego back then.

They had racks after racks of posters.
I remember going to to mall to see movies with my buddies and always stoping in there to look at posters.
Always lots of posters of Italian and German sports cars Lamborghini's, Porsche 911s and what not. Lots of posters of Chick with big hair and lots of posters of fighter jets after Top Gun came out. And yes there were Negal posters. Those were huge after Duran Duran put out Rio.

I remember Spencer's having a ton of posters but I don't remember a dedicated poster shop. Good stuff tho! Definitely spent a lot of time browsing posters back in the day :)

Yep, Westminster mall in Westminster CO had a good one, went there about weekly to check out the new posters and jacket patches, then head down to the arcade and Orange Julius before catching a midnight movie.

Lotsa great posters in this thread.
We're aiming for spring '19 to drywall the basement (only took us 13 years!)
Then I'll hang all my shit and have the ultimate badass basement.

Check it.
I've got TNG Enterprise, Countach, Girl with jugs of beer.
Check it out. Movie posters whap! I've got Blueprints, Nagel ballbreakers!
I've got nukes, knives, sharp sticks....

Finally got one up! Two more incoming. Will post when they are on the wall! :)

Ive got an original Hell Raiser and original double sided Lord of Illusions that i want to put up. But its going to take some moving around as the wall space is minimal. Small game room.

Thanks
Blake

Hellraiser kicked butt! I had to look up Lord of Illusions. Couldn't figure out how I missed it but then I noticed it was from 1995....we had a 1 year old at the time so didn't see many movies ;-)

I'll have to check it out!
