Post Pics of your Tempest CPOs

And comparison of the most important part, the swirling Tempest Galaxy:

Hmmm....

....To me it looks like the pink color should be translucent to create the "purple" color. Maybe I'm incorrect, but it looks like its probably the last step of silk screening. It appears sometimes the pink is not translucent and therefore no purple......

BTW, I'm in need of a new overlay also. I'll take a look and see if mine is any different than the others I see here. My preference is definitely the one that allows the purple effect.

Weird, your original has no purple or at least none in the swirling galaxy area.

or... screened in the wrong order?... blue was done before the purple?

And some of the differences I noted. The diagrams and text seems bolded on the NOS one, and finer on my original:

Checked on this on mine.

Rev. C - Scoring text is not bold
Rev. D - Notable difference, much heavier font.

Both say "Puls-ing"......

Yeah, I mean you can REALLY tell on the 2 I have, just look at the Fuseball and Spiker images. Hell, all of them. Look at how thick the flipper looks compared to the other one. And the Tanker. BTB, it's my NOS one that is Rev E, I haven't checked the rev # on my original.

You guys got me curious, so I went and checked my Irish CPO (with "Pulsing"), but there is no Rev version printed on it. It just has a small box on the bottom left that says: "037738-01"

And pics of the NOS Marquee overlay:

And both used Scotch Brand adhesives, albeit different numbers:

BTB, my original CPO is Rev C.

That marquee is pretty. Fortunately mine is in good enough shape to leave it original, but it's not perfect. I'd probably purchase perfect repros if they were done, just to have in case of a disaster.

This thread and cpo is a great example to show how its impossible to make just 1 single picture perfect cpo reproduction as no matter which version is reproduced will never match everybodys and someone will come along and say
"this cpo is all wrong it dosnt match mine at all and totaly sucks"
(paraphrazing)
