Post pics of your non-arcade game room

I love seeing good collections, but I have no idea how you guys can have soo much stuff. I have had almost every console at least once (except PS3, PSP, Neo AES, CD, and obscure stuff), but I can't just let stuff sit when I know I have money wrapped up into it.

I have a small collection of like 100 NES games that I've held onto for a long time and I'm actually considering selling about 3/4 of them because I know I probably won't play them again.

The only console I won't sell is my original NES w/box and all the goodies. The rest I have so much trouble letting sit and collect dust. Outside of NES, I have a dreamcast and my original playstation, that's it.

Im including a list, and you are correct no matter how you organise them, their always seems to be clutter. This is posting 1, there are 2 more that follow.

So... since the thread is revived, how about more pictures?

The micro is sweet. I have the Famicom limited edition and the Japan only Final Fantasy IV edition.

I don't play either of those, but I was lucky enough that when my wife's friend had one at a garage sale, I got it for $5 in the box. woohoo!

The smaller screen is super bright and makes the games look perfect. Some people would argue the screen is too small.

Ironically- Xmen, Superman, Batman, and The Punisher were all arcade games too. Even cooler.

Haha. You know, I didn't even think about that. Though, with that said, some things to note:

X-Men - Cool arcade game, but not much replay value.
Superman - One of the worst games ever made.
Batman - Almost as bad as Superman.
The Punisher - Awesome CPS-1 beat 'em up.

It isn't easy to display everything, so I keep most of the loose stuff packed away.

But I do have some of my boxed games out on display and I've got some of my G&W's and Famicom games out (cause I like the art on them).

I only have two G&W right now... I REALLY want more. I love them.

Those Famicom games are sweet. For some reason, I don't own many... in fact, I own one.

I should have picked up more while I was in Japan.

The G&W market has outpriced me now. I'm a few short of a complete collection, but those last few command totally ridiculous prices so I've pretty much given up on that goal. I've also noticed that a number of mine are handling old age very well. The LCD screens seem to deteriorate on their own.

Famicom games, loose at least, are a dime a dozen in Japan (Almost literally!) Boxed ones are still relatively cheap and as a bonus they are almost always complete and in great shape.

Theres nothing better than used game stores in Japan!

+1

First store I went to had a nice selection of Super Famicom games for 100 yen (At that time I think 124 Yen was $1), all complete, and near as mint as you can get. Most stores had them priced per title, but this one had a sale or something. I also snagged a few strategy guides for the same price (less than $1)

I picked up a copy of Valkyrie Profile for the Playstation, and my host made sure to warn me the game was used and may have scratches. But, once I the discs from behind the counter, it was mint.

The only famicom game I picked up was in Hard Off... probably the best store over there, not dedicated to games. Book Off was great, too.

As for the Game & Watches, yeah, too rich for me. There are only two or three more I really want, and they are fairly cheap, but when I am as broke as I can, I can't make the exception
