There's a thread about posting pics of your arcade/game room, so I figure I would start one about the non arcade game rooms out there.

I started on consoles, and then got in to arcades earlier this year, so this is what I have aside from my games. Its small, you can't see the floor because I'm standing back as far as I can, but the camera can't get wide enough

This is why I cannot and will not allow myself to get into collecting console stuff. Your collection looks impressive, but no matter how you arrange the stuff, it always looks cluttered. I also hate all the damned wires and cables that hooking up 2 or more consoles in one area presents. I currently have a console corner with an NES, SNES, Vectrex and 2600, and I hate it. It just looks trashy in an otherwise clean looking arcade type room. No offense to you console guys, but really, how do you make this stuff actually look good when you have a lot of it to display? It almost seems like the more of it you can hide, the better. I really want to display the stuff, but I think I may have to abandon the idea. I'll take a pic of mine so you can laugh at me tonight.

Yeah, organization is a tough thing. There are so many small parts and pieces.

My room is only about 10x10, maybe smaller. You can't even fit our king size bed in it. The door hits it(otherwise the larger room would be my game room and the smaller room our bedroom)

You can see the pic of the closet with all the tubs and boxes in it. One day I hope to be able to display it all.

All my stuff is hidden in cabinets. You can't see any of my ds, wii, 360, or psp games at a first glance. I'm pretty sure I have 200 or so games.

Nice, I love the PS display case. Most of my games are on a rotating display, but I have hundreds more that are packed away in various places. I don't think I'll ever have all my stuff on display the way you do, but do intend to have a console game room with most everything hooked up.

Feel free to post your pics on Arcade Crusade, if you haven't already. I need to go in again and clear out the accounts that never posted any pics.

Yeah, I'm adding the pics right now.

Just so everyone knows... my consoles are hooked up out in my living room. I have an NES built in to a TV with my SNES and N64 hooked up, a PS2 and PS3 hooked up to my big screen (Too lazy to fix my Xbox right now) and I have a Game Cube display that I hook systems up to from time to time

hope some one else posts pics too... come on now. You can't all have stuff stored in bins, hidden

Man, that is insane. Yeah, I stopped collecting console stuff a while back. It was getting too pricey and, like Phet said, it just made things look so cluttered. When I got into the arcade hobby, I pretty much stopped and now arcade games are my focus.

Here's my humble setup where it's at now. Most of my other stuff is just stored away in boxes in the garage.

Technically, I don't have a "game room" right now :( My console stuff is not really interesting display-wise. I mean, I could take pics of my rotating shelf thing (which I've posted before at some point), but that's basically like just see all my games for Wii, 360, PS3, and a few other systems. All my older generation stuff is packed away, as are most/all of my collectible stuff. A lot of this is because most of it is still at my parents' old place :p

I have to agree - no matter what you do it looks like a collection of crap. I'd cry if my house looked like that (no offense).

I can certainly appreciate all of the stuff you have - and of course I wish I had some of it - I just don't know how I would make it accessible for guests who visit. Arcades can be messy, but they sure clean up nice.

Definitely disagree. It looks awesome dude. The more the better when it comes to games. Who cares what it looks like when people come over. I can't stand when people come over anyway. I'd rather be playing games.

Dont have photos, but heres a video of what my office looked like last year. Some things have been moved around and added since then, I'm hoping to make an updated video (or maybe even a mini series) in the near future.

Yeah, its a clusterfuck as mentioned, but there are ways to add and spread out for less "clutter", my office looks a little better than in this video, and I'm continuing to work on it.

It almost makes it sound like you're in the wrong hobby if you're worrying about cleansiness...Just sayin:cool:

I almost never have my console stuff in the house, just a few consoles hooked up but we rarely play on them. 360 is for Netflix now.

Almost all of my console stuff is boxed up and in the garage. Currently it's mostly burried behind 2 or three arcade machines so it's hard to get to.

I started liquidating my console collection to start my arcade one. For example, I pitched my SNK NG AES and CD Systems for $300 a piece and then I had $600 there toward my Neo Geo machines. I got a nice 4 slot with some of my favorite games. It blows having an AES or CD system away.

In the last two years i've sold off upwards towards 2K worth of console stuff and there's tons to go. I only sold off stuff that I thought I would never let my kids play or I would never play again. Now I'm itching to build a Machine to run Hyperspin w/ console emulators.

I have a bunch of console stuff scattered between my house and my parent's house.

Consoles include:
Atari 2600
Turbo-Grafx 16
NES
Super NES
Gamecube
Wii

Most of the stuff is packed away under beds, in closets, or in cabinets. Mostly they are hidden away from the 1 1/2 year old tiny human that lives in my house that lives by the "Hulk smash" mantra. Luckily he hasn't taken too much of a destructive interest in the Donkey Kong Junior. :)

Someday I'd like to have a nice set-up and game room like the ones above.

dont have a game room right now :(

but the consoles i have are

a modded xbox
a modded ps2
a gamecube
a sega genesis
a nes
a snes

I rock my arcade games in my game room kinda like a bar/arcade/theater. this is the console side I don't really collect games although I do have game related toys and my metal gear collection. I have everything setup with 7.1 surround sound and a DLP projector with the PS3 and XBOX 360 getting the most love.
