After debating what Centuri game was most influential is Phet's "Marquee Game" thread, I decided Centuri games don't really get all the recognition they deserve. Centuri was kind of an underdog in the industry, (not quite as much Exidy or Stern, but definitely not as high-profile as Bally Midway or Atari) but managed to license some awesome and popular games: Phoenix, Time Pilot, Gyruss, Track and Field, etc. Centuri also made some much less popular (but still just as cool!) games like Swimmer, Challenger, and The Pit. Not to mention the uber-rare Aztarac.
So this thread is here to bring all those cabinets back to life! If you own a Centuri machine, it is your duty to post pictures here. Props to anyone that owns a super-rare one like D-Day or Aztarac. But heck, even if you have Phoenix or Time Pilot machine, post pics here anyways! Make sure to post a little backstory on your game as well.
I'll start out with my game... SWIMMER! I got this one in South Austin later last year. It was only $100 because 75% of the side art is missing. The rest of the cabinet is pretty nice, with just some torn inner-stickers and a little cracking on the cpo. I love this game and I really wonder why it never became very popular.
Here is a front-view shot. I guess Frogger felt left out and had to sneak in the back to be in the picture as well.
