I loved my coney island.. very cool game. I don't remember the "awning" bit tho... I wonder if mine was cut off, or yours was added on?
Just looked on Clay's site and it looks like ours was hacked!

~gorfchampion... How do you like Captain Kid? We really like ours.

cheers
/Tim

Tim,

I really like my Captain Kid a lot. Its a lot of fun to play...and just to look at!

I need to get my Wild Kingdom and Arctic Gun fixed so I can have an EM row....

They had a sitdown Driving EM game at the last auction. I think Super Shifter by Allied. It came on and amde noises but no idea if it worked all the way. It went for 50 bucks.

Video your EM's!

Thanks for the comments.

aloc: I have never put water in it. I am afraid to to be honest. Something about having a game full of water in my workshop with a bunch of other rare games makes me nervous. ;) I do plan on pulling it out this spring and making a video of it working since it is such an uncommon piece.

Krisk: I have 2 of the Ambush machines and made this from the best of both machines. I may sell the other as a project someday but would prefer it went to restore another machine or to someone who would restore it back all the way. It is missing the glass and some of the paper artwork so that makes it a difficult project for restoration. If you find another one and need some parts/advice feel free to contact me.

I have many more EM games and plan on getting as many as possible on video in the next year. I think having videos of how EM games play/work is going to become more important for the historical record as the games and information start to disappear more rapidly in the future. We will never have emulation or mame for EM's so we must fix them and make videos now before it is to late.

i agree with you on the tank of water. just thought, hoping, that maybe you had done a vid previously. as for the vids they are important. a member here sent me a 40 second vid of CC commando. from that vid i learned more in 40 seconds of how the actual game play is meant to be and to actually see the difference next to mine, saved me soo much time and headache

Very nice game you have in your collection. I have a Sonic Fighter and Big Brave pinball and hope to find a few more in the future. Thanks for the great pictures of your machines.
