And of course, spending time with all the other KLOVers, SMAC guys, and my fellow PAC members. Here's our group photo taken at 9:00pm on Saturday. Unfortunately, Darthphunk and Steve B. had already left by then, so they are AWOL here.

Good Times, noodle salad.

So who's next? Where's the KLOV/SMAC/KLOV photo?

Cool. Cool. No joke, I was thinking about using making tape and making the letters G O Z E R on the back of my shirt, just so more KLOV guys would find me and chit-chat.

BTW. Did your wife kick ass on Empire Strikes Back? I was seriously contemplating going for a million while there.

Gozer5454 I enjoyed meeting you when you tolk over the Food Fight lol

Wow what is that guy doing puting the sign that Gozer has taken over this machine lol

Then i rememeber seeing your post on here about that very thing.

I have allready posted 4 other videos from the show. I have too Edit alot of my wr trys on DKJR, and Steve Weibe Donkey Kong 101 Class that i recorded..

Darn Youtube with can'nt go over 10 mins recording time.

day 3 NW PINBALL and Arcade show Even though i did'nt have the best of games at the event .. I take it all as a learning thing... I met some amazing players . Walter day, Steve Weibe, Ken House and his sons. Eric A,George,BBH Came by saturday and said i think i know Me and George.

Me and George where behind the 8 ball when it came too the DKJR the control was different for both of us. My best score came yestarday 596k.. But my best over all game was like my 3rd try of the event when i got too level 10 without Dying.... Then the Wheels fel off that game.. Had people asking what happened on that game.. I said the Level 10 happened.
I felt there where people that really cared about what i was doing it was a very nice feeling.. I would play a game and finsh and walk around and play different games.. People would ask me if i got the record ? What was my score?

Kinda hard too know how many people walked by me and tolk pics, asked a couple of questions..
I know i will be in some Pinball Mag next month.. There was a person that tolk my picture as i was setting up the first day of the event.

Last night i talked with TRI-FORCE On Fb and Marky D *The world Record holder for DKJR* then he called me on the phone and we talked for about 45 mins.

He played it a few times, nothing serious. She was getting around 650,000, but it would not save her high score?? She is out of practice. I think she is going to start playing more again. Maybe a record attempt in the future:eek:

You kicked ass man. My only regret was I didn't stop and talk longer. Good to run into all the guys whom I spoke with here. I talked with Osver, blinddog, Oryk, and Dokert. Dokert I recognized right away.

1.5 mil is the record right, from back in 85? Sometimes I questioned that score, but then I hit 888,444 on Saturday before the game died on me. If I can get my hands on a Empire and keep practicing, I have a feeling I too will be going for the record next year.

It was a good show, didn't meet too many of you guys, cause i'm new to KLOV and this was my first show and for me it was all about the games and beer. Oh yah, the show was perfect and i wouldn't change a thing, just wished it had a beer garden. LOL. Hope to meet more of you guys next year, now that i can put some faces to names.

Nice football cab you have pictured there. Pretty fancy with that full control panel artwork. :)

I'm glad you and the other PAC members made it up for the show you're a cool bunch to hang out with and It's always nice to be able to put a face to a klov handle. Hopefully I'll see you here in Seattle next year. You should let use know which games you still need and we can see about adding a little extra space there to make it easier for you to get measurements and pics.

Matt

I will post some pics later when I get home to a decent computer, but first...

SMAC were an awesome group to hang with. It was impossible for me to try and keep all the members names straight that I had not met
before, but all the folks I spoke with were totally friendly and helpful.
I can't believe the dedication and hard work they put into making a
show of this magnitude. It really was arcade heaven.

So glad they spend the time and effort to put this show on. Thanks! I will never miss it again.

So a story or two:

1. Sunday morning eating breakfast with my wife and daughter. Who sits down at the table next to us? Gary Stern and Steve Ritchie. Steve cant hear all that great, and Gary is loud anyway, so I get to listen to the whole conversation perfectly. Steve tells Gary that Ironman looks empty and cheap, priceless. Gary starts raising his voice and going on and on about how the build costs keep rising. Interesting stuff, Gary knew which board had surface mount components vs larger ones that had to be assembled by hand. The robot stuff can get made anywhere, but the handmade stuff gets shipped off.
Before we leave I thank Mr. Ritchie for making ST:TNG, the best pin ever, "no offense to you Mr. Stern" and I thank Mr. Stern for continuing to make pinballs to this day.

2. Quantum. There were quite a few of us having a good time with that game. Corky managed to get the fast repeating circle technique down, so every day he got to draw a new masterpiece, adding details like hair, veins, etc...

3. People. I could talk all day about video games and pins any many times I did. I swear it took me 2 hours before I even played my first game (Video Pinball 2.0!). We have a great group in this hobby, and it was a pleasure to hang out with. After two days, I honestly felt like I still did not get to play enough games.

Show was great. Got home around 11:30 last night. picked up my daughter from the babysitter. Unloaded my Journey and got it in the garage it was about 12:30.

I want to thank everyone who made the show possible. Special thanks to the people who set up and did the break down.

I talked to many Klov, Smac, and Pac members that was great meeting all of you. Hope everyone returns next year.

I took alot of pics. I will post a few. My camera died before I got any pics of the multi vector, but I can tell you it was very cool.

Here are a few pics.

had such a great time at this show!
meeting so many people especially those I conversed with reguarly here on KLOV over the years. Dokert, DJw90, Shilmover, Oryk Zinyo and soo many others I know more by name and not screen name, including all those KLOV collectors that came down from Canada, hey. along with getting to hang with all my local Pacs.

So a big thanks to all the put on the show and made me a part of it
I also found it funny I did the banner for the SMAC group (seattle metro arcade)
and they did one for our PAC group (portland arcade collectors)
