Possibly the most rare ms. Pacman cabinet??? PLEASE HELPPlease help!!

Yeah, I followed it and it goes to the main board with a bunch of other cords, I believe..

Do you know how to get it off of free play mode? Is it simple?

I could try it to see if it works ..

Thanks

To get your Pac board off free play, you just need to flip a dipswitch on the main board. See here for the dipswitch settings:

Also, just as an FYI, you've either got a game board that has been 'converted' back to Pac-Man, or swapped out entirely. The giveaway is picture 15 - it shows the brackets that WOULD have held the daughtercard needed for a Ms Pac board setup, and they're empty.

To get that game to play Ms Pac again, you'll need to get the Ms Pac conversion kit again. Or better yet, just buy a Ms Pac boardset and sell your Pac boardset for the same money.

Wow, that's an awesome find! I'm actually really digging that cabinet, I like the design and think it would look really good in a room and double function as a desk. Really nice find, hope you don't modify it!

Actually, wasn't there a baby pac like this too!?!

Really? Got any pics?

Hello all you smarties out there! I MIGHT HAVE JUST FOUND THE HOLY GRAIL OF ARCADE MACHINES!

I have something quite interesting on my hands; here are the pics to wet your whistle and further down I will explain how I got it and what little information I was told about it.. I will also post detailed pics inside and out, below-

My wife is in this pic just to show how big this thing is-

RIGHT ON! it worked :)

Im definetly going to get the MS Pac conversion. Do you know of any step by step links so I dont mess anything up? I saw Mikes sells them for $60 so Ill prob buy from them..

Also, it seems as though my board is installed upside down... Any recommendations or tips on what I should do about that? I dont think the Daughter board will reach the little holder that it rests on with tthe upside down Mother board..

Thanks man! Dont worry I will NOT modify it at all, I believe in original/restorations!

You should get the board swap service through riptor and have it done up with the SOUZA 4:1 pac mod. Add in a HS save kit as well.
If you can get someone to program the chips for you you can get this for free!

I am curious, does the PCB have a serial number on it? Most Pac boards have a number written on the big white cap on the board....I always think its pretty cool when the serial number on the PCB matches the number on the cab…… does that pcb have a number written on the cap?

Am I the only one to notice that this:

Is different than this:

The first one has protruding legs.

It seems to me that this cabinet might have been designed to be wheelchair accessible?

Which reminds me that Phet wanted to make a wheelchair accessible cabinet.

Interesting piece.

Doesn't look like a lot of fun to play though.

I'll bet that's what the red button is. If you have a pac on freeplay, the coin switches don't make any noise. ~ala what his is doing.

BTW, your wife dresses nice.

Also, that cabinet looks a lot better than the other prototype. I mean if they really were prototypes they may have made all kinds of different treatments before they decided what they wanted to do. Or it may have been a thing like, they made these up and sent them home with people that worked there so they'd be small enough to transport, and they could beta test them at home or something. Pretty cool.

Interestingly, I think the cabinet screams 70's even though it's an 80's game. Perfect for your setup. Curious what something like that would be valued at though. Probably hard to put a value on.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It makes sense if these are indeed prototypes, they should have little differences.. Fortunately im liking that mine doesnt have those protrusions!
