Possible to remove neck board in 20EZ without pulling monitor?

Need to hit this thing with a rejuv but I don't want to have to take out the whole monitor assembly to do it...I don't have any room to work on it...can I slide the neckboard off or do I have to take it out of the Nintendo cab? It looks like a pretty tight fit due to how the chassis is designed for the monitor.

If you just want to pull it off the tube thats no problem. There is enough room to pull it off. If you need more room that neckboard metal cover comes off with two screws.

Thanks for the info guys. Can't really get in there to see where those two screws are but I'm waiting on my rejuv from eYay to arrive still. I picked up a neo geo cabinet today too that has a tube without a chassis or neckboard...that's going to be interesting.

LOL. Thanks for the Idiot's Guide pic there. I was just saying that I haven't had the actual time to dig around, not that I needed someone to handwalk me to it, but I appreciate it. :) I live in a tiny tiny condo, we don't have much room. Just pulling the cabinet out to slide in the new SMB board I got is a chore...have to move a chair and clean out the kid's toy corner just to have room to move it 3 feet to get behind it. Top that off with the fact that some idiot designed the lighting in here like a dungeon and the cabinet is facing away from ALL lights in the room, makes it a bit difficult to see into the cab when the flashlight is dead.

I downloaded an iPhone flashlight app to use the iPhone 4's flash earlier tonight just to get some stuff from the Neo-Geo cabinet I picked up for free today. : P

If you take the cover off you will need to remove the screws then slide the cover upward. It rests in two notches so just pulling the screws wont make it pop off.

Well.... I missed the mailman today an in true dumbass fashion the didn't leave the package for me. They leave my super Mario bros pcb at the door in the RAIN....but my rejuv...I ant get it until Monday. >=(

I have a couple of LED headlamps I wear when walking/running in the dark. I now use them while working inside cabs or hard to see places. *MUCH* easier than holding a flashlight or cellphone while trying to accomplish a two-handed task. Plus, it puts the light right where I am looking!

The only downside is the bad spelunking jokes my neighbor makes when I forget to take it off before going outside. :)
