POSSIBLE PART OUT: 2 Williams Dot Matrix pinballs...

... unless someone wants to buy them whole:

Demo Man and Johnny Mnemonic, 900 each, complete. Both have bad/soft displays. Both are domestic machines. Both need to be gone through cosmetically and electronically.

Demo Man:
Playfield is nice, cabinet was drilled for lockbar in front and head decals are crinkling. Aside from what was mentioned above, it probably needs a U20 chip, as it shows a ground short error. The U20 on this is soldered to the board, so you will need to cut the chip out and solder a socket in, and place a new chip in. Prices for parts are as follows, domestic shipping included:

Complete boardset, including CPU as is non working, and Auxilliary 8 driver board (extra board in upper right corner used in this, TZ, etc.). Does not include display. $600. Boards are clean, no hacks, no acid damage.

CPU as is $175
-3 type driver board $175
Fliptronics board $80
DCS sound board w/ DM roms $125
Display driver $85
Auxillary 8 driver board $85

Transformer $100
Entropy 2 slot coin door with bill acceptor slot $60
Display panel with speakers, no display $45
translight $50
Gun handles from sides of cabinet , very little tarnish, great shape $80/pair

Playfield parts and playfield: I will sell parts or as a whole. The field is in good, unshopped condition. Plastics are for the most part decent. Email your requests for individual parts and I will quote you a price. Same goes for any cabinet parts unmentioned above.

Johnny Mnemonic: Playfield is nice, but dirty. Cabinet shows fade to orange mostly. The game boots and starts a game, but the hand has a bad motor/gearbox on it. I have a used working one uninstalled.

Boardset: WPC-Security CPU (used on games like Road Show, World Cup, Theater, etc.), -3 type driver board, DCS sound board, fliptronics, and DMD driver. I am keeping the good DMD driver and including one that needs repair. The CPU has an intermittent re-booting issue from either a loose chip or a cold solder joint. Whole set as stated for $500. Boards are clean, no acid damage, no hacks.

WPC-S CPU needing minor work, with security chip for JM: $175
Other individual board prices are the same as from Demo Man above.

Transformer and coin door are same as with Demo Man above.

Translight: $50
Generic black Williams DMD panel with speakers, no display $70

Same deal as Demo Man with the playfield. Will sell complete or part out, just email your requests, and I'll let you know prices.

Here is how I am handling this... I would rather sell the games complete, but have tried to do so recently with no success. I will wait until Friday to start ripping parts off of these in lieu of a possible buyer for the games complete. If you want them, let me know. Otherwise, on Friday, I start going crazy with my screwdriver. In the meantime, if you do want some parts, email your requests and I will email you back this weekend with prices, or to let you know if the game was sold.

Thanks!

Dude...

You know you can ship board sets off to be repaired, right?

Get your boards repaired, do a little cleaning/rubbers, then sell them for $1500 each. You'll make even more money and will have no problem selling a fully working machine.

The thought that you'd rather gut them just makes me sad...

Can't move titles like Demo Man and Johnny Mnemonic for 1500 each anymore. I'd rather sell them as is than shop them or part them, so someone could have a cheap fixer upper. No bites, so they'll probably go to save some other pin that has been cooped up with a bad board or soemthing for a while.

I think I'm being fair in giving another 3 days for a buyer to pop up. They have to go. And again, I'm not big on parting working, complete games, but when space is needed...

Johnny Mnemonic is missing the spinner... just realized that.

1200 for a LW3 is fair, probably what I'd realistically expect for these shopped working, give or take 100. JM and DM are of the same caliber as LW3. So that's like 2-3 days of work per machine, about $50 in parts per game. Plus, both DMD's are bad. Plus, both have CPU issues.

That's one reason why I'd rather sell them as is or parted.

The DMD's are dead, but if you want one, I'll throw it in. Not selling any parts until friday though... I'm keeping my word in case someone wants these whole.
