Finally getting around to fixing a Gallaga upright project I bought last year. Upon inspection and research, it looks to be a Gallag (see pictures). I'm on the right track?
On the edge connector, where do Pin 1 and Pin A start? I understand this is a different pin-out than Gallaga
Looks like someone tried putting in a switching power supply and hacked up the original harness. Does any part of the game need -5VDC? How is the coin box powered? Could I get rid of the original power supply (except for the monitor isolation transformer)?
I can't tell if the cabinet is an original Galaga or is converted. It kina looks like it was painted (see pictures).
I'll be mapping out the harness today, and hopefully, troubleshoot the PCB (not powering up).
Any help or wisdom is greatly appreciated.
