4. Positive and Negative Feedback Forum Sections

A key goal of the forum rules is to prevent random flames, insults, fights, and inappropriate content. A question has arisen. If the site bans personal attacks, how do you warn others of thieves and scammers. How do you handle grey areas. How do you explain negative feedback?

Additionally, right now a Positive Feedback thread has over 500 posts in it. It doesn't make for easy reading when your interest is in feedback about one person.

A few weeks ago I created 'Positive Feedback' and 'Negative Feedback and About to be Negative Feedback' sections. I just opened them up for viewing, including some explanatory threads (PLEASE READ). The idea is that you can browse these sections to see new threads, or sort on them or search them to quickly find information out about a specific person. Note that the Negative Feedback posts would be viewable for members only, and not to anonymous guests or Google.

...

Alternative: If we don't create the new sections (with or without the proposed guidelines), I would suggest creating a new feedback thread each month instead of having a single run-on super-thread.

Now that everyone has had 2 1/2 weeks to think about this, let me know what you think....

Thanks,

Greg
