Hey, I just moved to Portland from the Olympia, WA area. Seattle has some awesome arcade stuff going on — I made it to the NW Pinball & Gameroom show last year, and there's a pretty active group of arcade collectors, SMAC.

Is there anything like that going on in the Portland area? I'll probably see about going to next year's NW Pinball show, but it would be awesome if there was something closer.

You've got alot of other collectors in Portland. The PAC crew use Google groups to communicate. Our fearless leader is Jeff (TheShanMan on KLOV).

Ken House and Bricktop are our two biggest party throwers. Oregonarcade is the resident hoarder/ fixit whiz. Bill Carlton will tell you he was the star of a movie. And yours truly was the weirdo at the Pinball show walking around measuring cabinets.

The group has members from the Portland Metro area to the coast to all the Way down the I-5 corridor in Eugene.

Awesome. I saw mention of PAC when I looked around, but didn't find the group. I've seen Ken kicking around on the SMAC list as well.

Hope I'll be able to run into some of you guys soon!

Awesome. Be sure to PM TheShanMan here so he can give you access to the group. Easiest way to find out about local events. I met John Macallister for the first time at Ken's party last Saturday. We stole him away from the SMAC group for a record weekend.

Don't forget Specialty Coin has a parts department where you can buy power supplies, pushbuttons, joysticks, coin chutes, etc.

The PAC group are a bunch of awesome guys.

Also if you are in Portland now... don't buy games from Dustin or your house will burn down.

Is this the guy that there was a bunch of CL drama about? I saw a bunch of posts about some guy who sold a cab that he said had just been recapped which hadn't and failed quickly.

Yeah. I work around the corner from GK, and I live close to Envision. And Specialty Coin is on the way to and from.

I just moved into the area myself. Although, I mainly just deal with japanese jamma cabs and 90's Bally/Williams pins. I got out of the classics collecting scene a few years ago.

Ieure added to the PAC group. Welcome!

NoVArcade, PAC isn't just for classic fans. While PAC's most "prominent" members seem to be mostly focused on classics, there are members who are more into jamma, and you guys are certainly welcome. I'm all for having a "well rounded" group, so please hit me up with a PM if you're interested in joining or just want some more info on the group. Regardless though, welcome to Oregon!

And btw, I'd love to get one candy cab at some point but I wouldn't know how to find one. If you have any tips or contacts, I'd love to hear (although at this moment I'm not in the market for new games).

I had no idea there was an arcade in Salem (besides Wunderland which sucks). Does anyone have an address for this? I'm looking on Google and all I can figure out is that it's downtown.

Welcome to portland and the pac group! I'm a fairly active member round these parts. There is a lot of knowledge here if you need help fixing a game.

And avoid dustin like the plague. He is a db extraordinare.

Hey dmoreland there is going to be one down town in a month or so. But i think i can get you in early if i talk to CJ . If you can do some framing, sheet rock, plumbing, some elec, and painting,I am real sure that would help get you in . LOL.. Anyway not open yet but coming soon.

I too have a candy cab on my wishlist. Also, CJ is pretty handy with pins, and there is a guy in the group who is an EM wizard.
