popped my warehouse raid cherry

Looks like several Ms. Pacs in the rough. Did you do a head count? Your Pac looks a little crispy but not everything can be perfect. The hand wear spot on the left side of mine was really bad when I got it. It had wood broken out which had been filled and was breaking out again. Talk about some major wear just from putting your hand there. I later refilled it and its decent, but not perfect.

Warehouse raids are the BEST!! Been in several in both Texas and Oklahoma. Yours was nice - it was well lit and you could see everything. I was in two where they were enclosed metal buildings, non-environmentally controlled, no electricity, and in summer. Hot, dusty, cobweb-ridden, waking on the TOP of games (no paths to go through), and the only light coming from the open doors!

If you guys ever run into pins and don't want them, let me know, I'll do the same for you on vids!!

I really wanted one of those Galagas. He had several. The problem is most of them and a lot of the Ms Pac's had severe water damage. The bottoms were literally falling out of some of them. I did get a pair of Tempest's though. They will both need new cabinets. One was total eaten by termites. That kinda freaked me out. The last time I was there my legs got totally covered in fleas. It was a bit unnerving on the drive home, wondering if they were going to follow me back in my house. I think most of the undamaged stuff that guy had has been snagged up by now. That Dragons Lair is in really good shape though.

Yeah, I noticed there was a lot of water damaged cabs. He even sold a working Galaga cab to some guy when I was there last that had some bad water damage at the bottom(everything was swelled up) for $350 iirc.

I picked up a non working Centipede for $150 and a non working Zaxxon for $50. Both cabs were in pretty good shape.

I asked about the Dragon's Lair the first time I went up there a couple of months ago, and I think he said he wanted $450, and that he has the disc for it somewhere climate controlled. If I end up there again, I'll take a look at it, and maybe even bring my laserdisc player and tv to run off my inverter to check and make sure it works and there is no laserrot. I'm not a big fan of the game, but if I can get it running fairly cheap, play it for a month or so and unload it without losing money, I may give it a go.

I was going to get just one of the Tempests for $180, but ended up getting both for $180. The price kept going down the more we looked at them. Right off the bat we saw the one was total eaten up and I told him I wasn't interested in it. When we pulled out the second one, it was missing all the art on one side. Out of the two I've got one good pcb and both monitors have horizontal collapse issues.

I think he was wanting like $200 for the Galaga that had been swimming. I'm sure I could have made a deal, but just wasn't interested with it that far gone.

Danny's prices are pretty good. The biggest problem is that we've all bought so much stuff, there is no room to buy more. My storage unit is FULL, my garage is FULL, my house is FULLLLL. My wallet is empty...:(

Edit: That remoinds me, I need to dump the photos out of my camera. I'll post the photobucket link when I do and you can all sit and drool and make the obligatory, "If I was only closer" posts. ;)

reason im poor and had to dig up money to buy my pac is because i am married with wife in school and 3 daughters.. and im the sole income... so money is always tight.. thats why sometimes i have to sell off my games to make ends meet.. i sold my dirt bike so it alowed me to buy a 60-1 and a few other things i needed to make that pac-man run... also found a spiderman board so now it will be up and running..

I've seen that site before, there are some decently priced games there. Some of those games are priced higher than what I would sell them for. I would sell non-working games for less than that especially if they're converted.
