The cab is solid. The monitor needed capped and a pot and it is working great. It had odd power supply issues so I swapped in a switcher and the machine plays great. It needs t-molding and a good cleaning. The machine was in the basement of a house a friend bought and was not working. With the lure of a free machine for some moving labor and my truck i came home with it. I already have a couple of working DK board sets that I swap in and out of my DKjr. I have not seen a working DK for sale in my area that was under $800 (in rough shape to boot) so added up my DK project will be much cheaper and I'll know that my machine is in like new condition. Popeye around here is not in demand and sells for less than half the price of a DK. In my mind I'll get my dedicated DK and someone who needs parts for their cherished popeye will be happy. I know there are people out there that believe changing a machine is the fast track to hell but in my world making something i don't want into something i do, is just smart.
