Where are you guys at? I recently replaced my power supply and it fixed my reset issue. You're probably thinking "Big effing deal Phetishboy, what does this have to do with me?" Well, I'd think the same thing. The deal is, I stopped playing the game because I was sick of it resetting in the middle of a game without warning, killing my hopes of registering a high score. Now that I have that issue fixed, and I recently installed Braze's HSS kit, I'm back to playing this game a few times a night. Where are you guys at with scores? My goal is to hit 50,000 by the Summer. Game is fucking hard.

It's been a long time since I've played, but I _THINK_ I was around 75K.

84,000! but i haven't played seriously in a while! it's kinda hard to be motivated without that elusive popeye instruction sticker!!!

My 10 year old son can get over 70,000 on a good day. ;)

WTF's the winky face for? Are you pulling my leg, is this an unrealized hope of yours, is there an inside joke I missed? If your kid is really hitting those scores, a winky face seems to cheapen that fact, no? Give him a pat on the back for me if your statement was true.

He's telling you that you suck. Nothing you haven't heard before... and not always a bad thing as Fritz will attest.

I was really hoping that's not what he meant. You've just started a shit storm sir and you seem to be out of toilet paper. It's on.

High 80's or low 90's can't remember, haven't played it a while. I usually average in the 60's, and yes the game is 'efin hard!

LOL Phetishboy, you're so funny at times.

You're right. It's a hard game. I think my top two scores are in the 50s. I consider a good game when I can get past the 3rd board.

a) for fun.
b) no, no, no.
c) no.
d) will do. (although he already gets those from me daily)

Just wait, your kids will school you on games soon enough. I had a hard time with it in the beginning but now it just amazes me. I can still kick his butt in most of the old arcade games, but with games on the Wii he just puts me to shame.

I think I hit over 100k over the course of playing it on and off for 2 weeks. Its really hard at first but gets easy very quickly as you learn the pattern of the drops. They don't change from wave to wave either.

Was hoping to have mine restored before winter but didn't quite get there. Itching to play it now.

118k is mine thus far, but I haven't played in like, 6 wks.

Ironically enough, my machine is the one Perry Rogers played to get his WR score of 1,238,110 pts...

By the way. Thanks for the R-Type. Going to start playing it this weekend. (Your Arcade/Bar is incredible.)

I know I'm in the 80's somewhere. Although I do seem to remember breaking 100K but that was a long time ago, and I can't even prove it to myself.
