Poor Star Wars - Converted to Xbox!

Can someone tell me WTF the point is if the douchebag is going to simply hook up the console controls? I mean, "Lets STAND in front of a 19" screen and play Nintendo 64 vs Lets SIT in front of a large screen TV and play Nintendo 64" sure sounds like a step backwards to me. The whole idea of a freakin arcade machine is... THE CONTROLS... if arcade machines back in the day simply had Atari 2600 sticks attached to them, arcades would never have become popular (even back then when playing a console on a 19" HOME TV was more common).

Dumbasses...complete dumbasses...

Plus, if you look off to the right in the first pic, you can see a bit of the screen that is shown in the 4th pic. He doesn't even show the actual machine's monitor working. I doubt it even does. He not going through all the trouble of getting a video converter to change the 15Khz RGB to Composite for a TV. I bet the damn thing just sits there and you have to use an EXTERNAL tv to play. Why...WHY?

This is almost as bad as getting a really nice condition Space Duel and killing it so you can sell the monitor for big buxxors!! Oh wait..

A dead Star Wars probably fell into this guy's lap and didn't have the know how to fix it. He did some searches on Ebay and found that the yokes, boards, monitors, etc. are pulling in good money, so he stripped it and sold the parts. Then he pulled out his dusty Nintendo 64 and 19 inch TV from his attic and crammed them in there, in hopes of squeezing a bit more dough out of his find.

You're right about the console thing on uprights--I really doubt that this thing has ever seen much play. Standing up and holding a console controller just seems wrong. Standing up and playing an Atari yoke, well, that's something else.

Would it be OK to get a really nice Space Duel, use the monitor to bring back to life a Star Wars, then find someone with a trashed SD who can use the nice cab, as long you don't profit from it by too much??

I am sure there are a lot of Space Duel fans out there, but I find the game gets old real fast. But thank God for the Space Duels, or there would be a lot fewer working Tempests, Gravitars, and Star Wars out there.

Take a closer look, he put a tv in there. If you look at the second pic you can see the manufacturers logo.

To be fair, the SNES super system had cool controllers.
