Poor Poor PlayChoice

Looks like a regular DK style cab to me. What would make it a playchoice cab? It's definitely not a 2 monitor style PC-10 cab :D

I know there was thee' dedicated version.

2 monitors like the punch out cabs - or a red tent. I didn't know they released an full-on single monitor PC10 - I know they had the grey dedicated Vs. cabs...I tend to be wrong with this stuff though. lol

That Street Fighter 2 is blasphemy in that cab - What would say max value on that - $100?

That cabinet is not a PlayChoice-10 cabinet; it is a classic Nintendo cabinet (e.g., DK, DK Jr., Popeye). Dedicated PlayChoice-10 cabinets had an Asahi Seiko ADD coin door setup, like a Punch-Out; no speaker grill cutouts, and a different cabinet shape (though similar to the shape of a classic Nintendo cabinet). Dedicated Vs. Unisystem and R-Type cabinets were the same thing.

This is a dedicated PC-10.

That's f'n terrible....and an insult to PC-10 and SF II fans.

Oh, come on, whats wrong with a game of good ol' Donkey Fighter 2?

Yeah, I could have done a better conversion in the dark with one hand tied behind my back. SF2 was such a popular kit that it was bound to happen though.

True - but at $350 that is neither a Discount or a Blowout, as the seller's name would suggest it would be.

I half expected to click here and see my dual monitor PC10 before I got it...

Someone converted it to JAMMA and put Tetris in it...

Oh dear lord... I clicked on this thread and my first thought was "stupid PC-10, it's just a NES on a timer". Is this what happens once you've sold your PC-10 cab? You begin to resent the concept as a whole? :)

This is a dedicated PC-10.

Ok I have a question for you guys if anyone knows. I see PC10s like that but others that look like mine like this one with the different marquee and the extra sideart.

Is the first one a kit in a R-type cab or is there 2 styles of dedicated cabs?

Also anyone know of repro Nintendo logos for my cab?

Say what? Do you have something against correct information? Or do you prefer ignorance to being corrected?

I was making a joke. I was wrong. Shit Happens. Next time I wont respond at all. I'll just go in a dark room and give myself 10 lashings in silence.

The cabinet itself is the same in both eBay links. The differences in the artwork probably don't have anything to do with R-Type conversions. There was a thread on here somewhere where various members posted pictures of their dedicated PC-10 cabinets, and both artwork layouts were represented. Nintendo probably just changed it somewhere along the line in the production run for God-only-knows what reason.
