How hard would it be to find the original type tv that went into a Pong? If push came to shove, would it be possible to fit another similar tv into one? Also, is there another game that used the same coin mech as Pong? Maybe Tank II? I have access to 4 pongs, but they are all missing monitors, all PCBS are intact. Just trying to figure out if I should pull the trigger on them all? I have never owned a Pong, is there anything to look out for?

You should be able to rig another set of similar vintage. Don't spend much unless they are REAL Atari Pongs, the knock offs are so cheap it is just easier to buy a working one.

I bought a 4 player upright Pong clone working in good condition at a live auction for $25 some years back. There just isn't any demand for the clones.

Re:

I have pictures, they look pretty darn real to me. There were actually more, but they decided to keep the ones with monitors.

...

I saw those pongs today.

couple are in bad shape, busted bottoms.
all missing the coin slots and monitors. IMHO way overpriced too.

the TANK he has is a regular Tank, not a TANK II.
those are 22-25" monitors. They wont fit in the Pongs.

The monitor you seek is the GE Adventurer II which was also used in Computer Space. The harness is hacked to bypass the tuner section of the monitor chassis.

A few years ago I needed one for the Brown Metalflake Computer Space I'd acquired and by luck one was on eBay. Since it was a critical part needed for my project, I loaded a snipe around $400 bucks; happily the auction ended somewhere around $35 bucks!

If they look like real pongs I am sure they are. I was talking about the zillion games with names like "TV Hockey" and the like.

Re:

I will post some pictures, but I will ask permission to first. I am too far away from them anyways, I will probably end up passing on them, thanks for the info Exidy. I was actually asking if the coin mech would fit Pong, coming from Tank.

They looked like they would fit.

He wanted $2000 for all 4 pongs and the tank. I think that deal was alright. But $600 each was ridiculous. Considering he sold several a couple of years ago working and complete for a couple of hundred less.

A brown metal flake Computer Space Ball or Computer Space? Just wondering.
