I have a Polo chassis that worked fine for nearly 2 years of me owning it (from my KI2) and one day it just quit working. it would blow the line fuse inside the KI2 cab, as well as make the fuse on the monitor chassis literally illuminate orange, however the fuse would still test good.

I figured it was a flyback thing, so I put a new flyback in and this time it blows the chassis fuse upon power up. this time I ran it outside of the cab and plugged straight into a wall outlet, it didn't trip the breaker however.

I'm leaning towards this being some kind of power supply-related issue. if anyone has ideas of where to start, I have an extra 27" chassis that worked fine to my knowledge that I could start stealing parts from to at least get it to work.

does anyone know if you can use a 27" chassis on a 25" tube? I have all 3 size flavors that I've worked on and the components roughly all look the same, unlike say a Wells 25" and 27" chassis. these came with a weird yoke that auto-converges and shit.

I'll have to pull it and check it. would that really cause all that though if it was bad? also, can you power the chassis up with the HOT removed?
