interesting state of affairs here... I have a Polo chassis I did some work on a couple months ago or so now that was working fine in my Killer Instinct 2 until one day I noticed the screen was pitch black. I pulled said chassis from the KI2 tube and stuck it back on another tube I have loose and tried it out tonight and observed that the HOT was not blown on it, because I'm getting high voltage. looking at the neck though, I noticed there was no glow.
after further inspection, I saw half of a clip floating in that area of diodes and resistors just outside the power supply, the clip that belonged to T101, a part that I had changed out to repair the chassis initially from blowing fuses.
now I read that R35 is the resistor to check for the heater circuit, but I was wondering if that clip self destructing and potentially landing on one of those diodes/resistors might have something else to do with it. though if that metal clip shorted to anything, shouldn't that theoretically blow the fuse?
I found about R35 after I already left work, so I'll take a gander at that later. also, I have no more clips left to hold T101 in, so what do I do about that now?
