POLL: Replace or No Replace

Leave it alone. However, the CPO looks faded to me. Were they lighter originally or is that perhaps an aftermarket one? Mine looks just like it incidentally and it's an aftermarket CPO and it's bugged me ever since I got it.

The CPO caught the flash...

Frankly... the best reason not to IMHO is that someone could use the new side art to fix up a cab that is a better candidate for front panel restoration.

...well, that and the fact I'd be saving a bit of time and effort.

Ouch!

He already dropped the dough on the sideart. Why not replace the front, too?
I'm just having a little fun. :D As you know I've been more than satisfied with anything that has come from the Garcade. I like "light arcade use" personally. Then I don't have to feel like I need to watch my friend's sister's kid like a hawk when she knocks over something into the (now no longer) new side art on my Centipede cabaret. :) I don't have to anymore, already done. Unless it is bad, I'd just assume leave well enough alone and spend the time playing the game(s).

POLL:

I purchased a Star Wars art "set" from Phoenix Arcade which includes the left and right side art plus the front art.

Looking at my current front art, it's in pretty damn good shape overall. Sure, there is a lock bar hole (with metal plug) and a couple holes to the right I can only assume were lock-bar holes. There is also a couple of small holes at the top right... one plugged the other mostly plugged... and a very tiny knick... and needs to be cleaned up a little... but overall I'd give the front a 9/10. With this cab the plugged holes actually don't really hinder the overall "theme"... and actually may enhance it slightly IMHO.

Should I replace the front art? Here is how I see it.

(A) YES, REPLACE IT! - The good: It would look "tits"... with no lock bar holes... no knick... etc... and it would be new. The bad: I will NEVER be able to get it to sit as smooth as the original. Removing the current art is more work. Prepping and painting is more work.

(B) NO, KEEP THE ORIGINAL! - The good: Less work. I could sell the front phoenix arcade front art to someone who needs it. It would be original "flat"... no bubbles... etc...

Here is a pic... the area toward the top left has a little adhesive from a sticker that will need to come off...

I am personally leaning toward not replacing.

If it were me, I'd leave it - the plugs don't detract significantly, and I'm lazy as hell.

I say definitely go all out. If you felt the need to replace the side art, then you should replace the front art along with it.

Damn, I need to get a Star Wars...
