Police Trainer PCB wont register a "shot" on gun 2, gun works on input 1

Like title says. I swapped gun inputs to test them. Both guns work perfectly on input 1. Gun 2 input will flash the screen when trigger pulled, but wont show crosshairs on screen and register a shot in game. Is there a transistor or something that would need replaced? I did search previos threads and did nOt come up with a solution.
I really dont want the Police Trainer pcb anyway because I already have a Police Trainer cabinet that is fully functional. This one is in a Lethal Enforcers cabinet that i want to convert back. Anybody want this semi working Police Trainer pcb and marquee, maybe partial trade towards a working Lethal Enforcer pcb or other parts?

Do the guns plug in directly to the main board or does the
board have the little daughterboard ? If the daughterboard
is there, remove it and try the guns directly plugged into the main board.

No daughter board unfortunetly. Pcb gun input #1 works fine with both guns, and a couple other guns I have also. Its just Pcb gun input #2 doesnt work. It makes the flash when fired, but doesnt register a shot. Im gonna reconvert this cabinet back to Lethal Enforcers anyway, so i guess ill forget about trying to fix this Pcb for now. Thanks for the suggestion though

Follow the traces... I don't recall what the chip is on that gun game but many gun games use a 74LS14/74HC14 Schmitt Trigger to square up the inputs from the gun. If yours does, replace it.

Well, just wanted to finish thread. im not gonna mess with fixing the Police Trainer board. Im gonna convert the cabinet back to Lethal Enforcers eventually. If anybody wantes the semi working PT board, basically a one player board now, just shoot me a PM

sorry to necropost but I think I'm going to pick up where you left off.

I have traced the optic line to the first chip it encounters, a 14 pin IC that has the number TL74F32D on it, it seems obvious to me that the chip is damaged because the pin(s) here the optic for gun 1 connects is shorted to ground and the pin that gun 2 connects to is not.

I would like to buy one of these to try to replace the one on the PCB but I am really whiffing on sourcing one.

anyone have advice where I could buy one of these suckers? Its the IC located at U119 on the Police Trainer PCB

Okay, so I have relaxed my query to 74F32D and found some for sale at utsource.net > http://www.utsource.net/ic-datasheet...D-1361539.html
I ordered 1 of these from mouser> http://www.mouser.com/Search/Product...ey595-SN74F32D >
it seems to match the part # referenced on utsource - if it doesn't work I'm going to order the one from utsource.

I'll post results when the part gets in. If anyone has anything to add here please feel free.
