I recently installed a repaired monitor back into a Police Trainer and due to a problem, I blew the main game fuse. Before blowing the fuse, the sound worked fine. After replacing the fuse, getting the monitor set and working, the sound no longer worked. I figure we probably blew something in the audio circuit. I wouldn't think (or hope) I blew the bsmt2000 sound chip, but maybe I blew an amplifier in the circuit. Does anyone know of good schematics on this board that shows the audio circuit (the manual doesn't). Or can anyone give me some insight on where a the amplifier is for the audio circuit. Thanks _________________

The amp is likely to be the only chip on the board with a heatsink, usually they are in one of the corners close to the JAMMA edge connector and the volume pot.

With the board powered up run your fingers over the underside of the board, across the amp chip pins. If the amp chip is good you will get a crackling buzzing noise, the noise should also be controllable with the volume control. If so the amp section is good you have to dig upstream to the audio generation circuitry.
