Hello!
I've bought a Police Trainer With guns that have bad precision.
One works somewhat, the other is all over the screen when you shoot.
I have tried swapping them and the error follows the guns.
Now there are Happ guns on it and I think I want to trade for some of better quality as Happ does not have a good reputation.
My question is, are there any guns that are plug n play or are there adapters for this?
Anyone with sucess with just buying new pcb-boards for the Happ guns in case other guns aren´t compatible?
Another solution is to replace the pcb with a newer box (Pandoras) so newer guns just plugs in, but i still want the original to work.
Please respond with your knowledge and experince if you have repaired something like this before.
Best Regards

Well the problem sounds like it's the gun and not the game since you said you swapped them and it followed the gun.

I would start with opening the gun up and just visually looking at the PCB in the gun. Look at the 2 legs connecting the sensor to the board. Those can tend to get loose and a quick resolder will fix that issue. If not that, just look if there is anything obvious that doesn't look right on the gun PCB.

I'd also check the lense that is in there. It's in the barrel a little bit back from the tip. Perhaps it isn't sitting in there flush like it should be and is causing the sensor to shoot light out at a bad angle.

If neither of those are the culprit, you can just buy a new gun PCB. You can find them used on here pretty often or maybe one of the arcade part sites sells them brand new.

Hello, and thanks for the reply.
I have opened the gun that was worst but found nothing odd.
I have scanned different forums for answers but nothing worked. There is one guy on here that banns the daughterboard that connects between the guns and the PCB, so i tried removing that too.
I was just about to put it away and order new guns, even if i didn't think that was going to solve anything when i rememberd reading about the output voltage the guns was supposed to be 5V so i measured my output and it was 5.75V.
Even if the posts i read about this said that those who had adjusted it to 5V didn't get any better i adjusted mine to exactly 5V and Wham, that made all the difference, both guns after calibration was about 80 % better and i was happy :)
But before i put it in the game room i tried to put the daughterboard back in it's place, and that was the remaining 20 % so now they are super accurate. So inspite of what some say, in my case the daughterboard made a huge difference.
