I currently have a broken D9200 chassis for the police 911. Is there any chassis I can replace the D9200 with that is more reliable and easier to repair without replacing the monitor?

Or if somebody can tell me where I can find this information that will work as well.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Your best bet is to have that D9200 repaired. There is no other chassis thats compatible with that yoke except maybe a D9400 (i've never tried it and it probably wont work).

D9200's can be a pain in the butt to fix but the right people can fix those all day long. Unless the flyback is bad then your up the creek.

Thanks gamefixer. I actually spoke to somebody at Wells Gardner who also stated that I can replace the D9200 with a D9400.

Anybody have any idea if the D9400 is more reliable and easier to repair if it breaks?
I checked the forum but haven't been able to find anything on it. I guess it's not that popular.

Thanks

Did they confirm that you can replace the D9200 CHASSIS with a D9400 chassis or were they referring to the entire monitor? Two different processes going on there.

You can replace a D9200 all day long with D9400's but the chassis only, I doubt it.

9400's are hands down WAY better then 9200's. And the 9800's are that much better then the 9400's. Problem is that the 94/9800's came out at the end of CRT supplies so they aren't as commons as the D9200's.

John from wells gardner said the pcbkit2794-40E (D9400) was compatible with my monitor that was used for the D9200. I'm kinda worried of purchasing it though and getting stuck with something that doesn't work.

Thanks for you input.

Just noticed a small crack on the neck of the monitor where the neck glow is suppose to be. Can anybody tell me if there is a way to know if this monitor is still good or not? I don't want to spend any more money on the chassis if the monitor is bad.

Thanks

Thanks,

Can anybody tell me if the wells Gardner k7500 is compatible with the police 911? If so, is it reliable and easy to repair?

Seems to me that I've installed K7500's and U5000's in Police911 without issue. Both chassis can be a pain to keep working (the U5000 more so then the K7500) but I find that a fan blowing onto the chassis really helps.
