Hi everyone.

I managed to repair my Pole Position cab, and then restored it to be as good as new.
Today, when my daughter tried to play, all I got was a blank screen.

The marquee lit up, the monitor seems to run fine.
But my PCB is now un-powered (no 5V, the red led is off). Do you have any advice where to look for the faulty piece please ?

Thanks !

Always check the silly things first before you rip everything apart:

#1 the fuses and connections to the fuses. Don't just look at them - pull them out and test them or replace...

Check underneath your power supply. There's a 32v 20amp fuse that really needs to be 25amp. On mine, the wire connecting that fuse was completely burned through underneath the power supply. The problem is that fuse holder isn't designed to run at 25 amp. I completely took that fuse out of the fuse block and bought a single, in line fuse holder that was rated to run that high. I replaced that wire with 12 gauge electrical wire and was good to go. The other thing that happens is the edge connector on your board can be burned out. Bob Roberts has an edge connector repair kit that you can do, but I still ended up just cutting the wire in that went to that burned out pad and soldered it to the board on the other side of the edge connector.
