I've been working on getting a monitor for my Pole Position up and running... finally got a chassis running (and not smoking)...

It's a G07, but I just can't get the damned thing to sync up (vertical). I've moved the pins around to what the schematics show is the right sync setup for them. I've disconnected the jumper on the sync lines (used to go to a MatsuSHITa), and I've made sure that the composite sync is going to 1 & 2 on the 3 pin connector. I just keep getting a slow roll that I can't stop... I can reverse it, but not stop it.

Voltages are good, fresh cap kit, the resistors (R314, R317) are the right values, IC501 has been replaced with known good one, I've checked X302 and X306, they're both good.

The game syncs up fine to a WG4900, but I really want that monitor back in it's own cab and not sitting in the chair behind my Pole Position anymore.

Any ideas?

Is the sync hooked up the same on the 4600 as the G07?

You don't say which way it is rolling, but sometimes the hold pots go bad.

And if the B+ is off a bit, it can cause a roll, also...

It's rolling vertically (down to up, or up to down depending on if I turn the hold pot)

That's vertical. Sometimes the vlin pot can cause the hold to go nuts, also.

Oh yeah, did you reflow the sync header pin when it was recapped. Sometimes there is cold solder there. And sometimes moving the ground from the 6-pin to the 3-pin helps, also...
