Here's an easier way to do it!

On BOTH edge connectors, cut the red w/green wires a few inches back
and tape up both ends. Also cut the +sense wires in the same manner,
dont forget to tape them up. Add the supply as mentioned in the doc but
instead of hacking the hell out of the ARII's and transformer assy just
run the GND and +5 to the boards via the test point terminals. You only
need to concentrate on the +5 as it was the weak voltage that always
fried on those games. Only cut the +5 and +sense wires off of the edge
connectors, nothing else!! You can either solder your new wires to the
terminals or use quick disconnect .250 terminals to make your
connections. Much easier and way less hacking.

So this seems like a much better idea to me by Matt then all that work in the PP_SMPS.pdf above.

1) Is this 4 wires total that need to be cut, 2 on each connector?
2) What color are the sense wires?
3) When reading the pdf instructions what part of those docs do you use?
4) What part of the docs do you ignore?

Maybe we can make a new updated doc for the pole positions so the information is not scattered all over the darn place.

If we can delete all the old hacks from that doc and update it with the latest and greatest info it sure would make it a lot easier to mod these machines.

I am looking for a pdf to text converter so I can post all the words from the doc. I haven't found anything yet and I need to run out for a few.

Thanks for any of your time on this one.
