I was hoping to be able to finally play some Pole Position last night, but unfortunately it's still fighting me. I received my Pole Position pcb back from repair and it still has the same issue....blue screen with a ram 8 error. I've already contacted the repair person, but I figured I might as well document any possible solutions. I'm assuming the board was repaired fine, but it's very perplexing to me why the same error is showing up as before. Assuming the board is fine it would have to be my cab and the only thing I can think of is a power issue. I already jumped a +5 and ground wire to a test point on each board and have a good +5 across the board as well. The only other thing I thought is maybe something happened in return shipping, but the box looked fine and it would seem weird for shipping damage to cause the same error. I thought about jumping +5 and ground to more test points, but that's about all I can think of other than just plain old bad luck with shitty Pole Position boards. :ahhhhh:

Blue screen = pcb interconnect...i usually seat mine with the machine on moving it until i hear the start explosion sound.

ram errors are usually just loose chips, i'd pull and reseat them. i've gotten ram errors where the ram location doesn't even exist.
