Quick Question, I only found 1 test point on the video PCB for +5v.
Is this enough of a connection to supply the 5v power into?

I used 2 of the points on the CPU board for 5v.
Boards work great now, just worried about potential heat on a single connection.

My edge connections are completely toasted for 5v and ground....
Pics of the job attached.

I no nothing of it getting too hot.

I could say that I modified mine to run the +5 off of a switcher, and it's been awesome.

I think there are 2 or 3 +5 spots on one board and just 1 spot on the other.

Cool! (literally)

I was hoping that would be the answer!
Mine was plagued with graphics and speech glitches... all went away with this.
I used the StarTech Journal method so the audio is also running off the switcher.

Did you do any other mods to keep it going?
I finally got mine finished tonight, damn power switch broke the moment I got it pushed into place... <sigh>
