So the resistor at R29 on the power supply gave out on my Pole Position, can any one tell me the value of that resistor?
Also is there a chance that one of equal value can be found on a midway space invaders power supply?
I know its a long shot but that is the only spare board I have laying around to salvage parts from at this moment.

Not sure my local ShitShack even sells resistors anymore, so it would be a few day wait from the usual suspects...

Thanks for the help

The problem isn't R29. Do some searching of the forums for R29 and AR2... The problem is most likely the edge connector of the PCB and/or the housing/pins that connect to it. If you replace R29 w/o fixing that, it'll just burn up the new resistor, and likely do more damage to the PCB edge in the mean time.

Thanks Darrin, we are planning on bybassing the shitty hack job someone did trying to fix the edge connector.

When R29 (or R30) burns, it means that the normal path between the power supply and the PCB has too much resistance, so current is instead going up the sense path (and thru R29, or R30 in the case of the return/ground path).

Once you get the underlying problem fixed, the resistor is 10ohms. Radio Shack does have them; P/N 271-1301 or 271-1101.

Thanks!
We got juice to it now, but it comes up with RAM8 error...
Trying to find which one is the RAM * so I can move it to see if the RAM error follows it but I dont have a diagram/manual.

Now we are getting somewhere FOUND a manual!
