Ok, so I'm trying to rebuild the power brick from the pics in the Power Brick Resto. thread. However, I'm having one issue. Where are my groundwires for my big blue? I also seem to be missing the wires for F2 slot on the fuse block.

Seems like there are a couple of extra wires going into the transformer on the bottom than I see in the other pics in the other threads.

Is the fuse rating listed on the sticker for F3 20 or 25amp? That power brick looks more like the one I have in my Millipede than the one I have in my Pole Position (my pole brick has a 25amp in F3 and also has a 2nd 3 pin connector in that empty spot just above the 3pin connector shown on your ps ... my millipede brick looks exactly like yours with a 20amp in F3..and is missing that 2nd 3pin connector).

Not sure if there were multiple versions used for PP, but it sure looks like the one in my millipede

Actually, that may be Dig Dug power brick. test the 120v socket. See if it is 120 or 60. I'm new to Atari, but the power bricks are compatible far as I know.. just be aware of pinout differences.

I was wondering if it was the right one myself. The wiring was in shambles when I got it and it looks like someone who didn't know what they were doing tried to put it back together and was unsuccessful.

See below for pics of my PP power brick that I recently restored (it was a rusty-mess!). Let me know if you need higher-res pics as I took them of the top and bottom along the way - so hopefully you can trace your wires and figure out what you're missing.

As for your questions, the 8 wires I have going to Big Blue are coming from the bridge rectifier, transformer, F2 and the plug (lower-left in your bottom shot). So, it looks like you may be missing some of the leads coming from the plug to Big Blue.

In any case, let me know if you need better pics or more info.

Thanks,
Chuck

The second 3 pin connector should be for the fan. The first one should be the marquee if I remember correct. If your cabinet does not have the rear door fan then that might explain the lack of the second 3 pin connector. The fuse label on most PP games was wrong and was noted in the later revision of the manual. The label says 20 amp but should be a 25 amp. I think the early PP games did not have fans??????

My cabinet does have the fan and extra connector but also still has the 20 amp fuse sticker.

Thanks for the info guys. I managed to find a power brick in the warehouse pickup today that was in 50 times better shape than this one. I appreciate the info though, I at least found out what that extra pin connector should be.
