Does anyone have any suggestions on how to repair my Pole Position monitor shroud? The inside cardboard bezel. Mine is pretty tweaked and won't keep shape as you can see here:

Not terrible... but annoying.

Also, I noticed that Brentradio has a real nice topper for his... I am guessing finding one of those is going to be a real bitch, eh?

go to art store and get some thick posterboard (the stuff they sell at the hobby stores is often too thin)
Use original as template and cut a new one. I had a nice woman at a frame shop cut out mine for a fee, but if I were to do it again I'd probably try my hand at it.
Don't use "mat" like they use for framing pictures, it has a white core and tends to separate in layers.

I use either small square dowels, rigid wire or sometimes even paint sticks glued to the back side of those bezels to bring them back to shape. You span an entire side with your structural element of choice, add glue and clamp for the night. Repeat on all sagging sides. It makes the viewing frame edges come back to their true form. Then I use a fat black sharpie to color all creases that have 'whitened'. These bezels would be a nightmare to try and recreate, though I suppose you could go that route. (you would lose the rev number though)

Here is mine...

That's a nice minty fresh looking Pole Position.

I noticed DJ has some PPII side art available for sale. I expressed interest, but I've never seen PPII side art on a PP US cabinet...only on the dedicated EURO cab. Anyone have a pic of PPII side art on a US cabinet?

Thanks for the tips Phet...I think i will likely go your route as the bezel is in decent physical condition aside from the bends. Time to go get some sticks...

Somebody needs to make a new batch and sell them....mine is too far gone to save..i've only ever seen the blue centipede's for sale on arcadeshop.com

I have one in my garage, I'll take a pic and post it later.
