Got a pole position II up right the problem seems to be when you first power it up after it has been setting for several mins to hours it either comes up with a blank screen a locked up screen or better yet a ram 24 error. If you shut it off with the switch or the interlock switch and turn it right back on the game will boot and play just perfect no scrambled video or sounds just screwed up at initial power up. About the game the boards were repaired a few weeks ago both ar2 boards have been gone through and the fuse block and all power brick wiring is in good shape no burnt conn ect does have both orig big blues?

Check to see if the edge connector is getting hot when on, may need to replace the connector. It may be heating up and causing a bad connection.

I'd check the Big blues for A/C ripple.....but if I was a betting man....IC sockets!

You may have a ram chip that is becoming marginal, the other most likely cause is one of the 10xx chips on the cpu board, swap them around and if one of them is causing the problem swapping them may clean the socket a bit and contact on a different spot on the chip, the other firly common thing I've found to cause intermittent ram problems is the bridge board between the main & cpu boards, clean the contacts and make sure it is fully seated.

I was under the impression that it was always a good idea to rebuild the powerbrick as well as the A/R IIs' to insure a good, clean source of power.
