I have a Pole Position II in a Pole Position 1 cabinet. This may have been back in the day when the coin ops changed out the Marquee, steering surround and CPU. The art on the side shows PP1. But it is clearly a PP2.
Now for the good and the bad of what I know about this game. I purchased this as a non-working game and fixed it. All that was wrong with it was a broken bridge rectifier in the power supply. ( the bad ) this game has no metal PCB cage. The board is in the wooden slot and screwed to the side of the cabinet. The game has normal scrapes and scratches on the sides. The PCB edge connector was repaired.
( the good ) game plays well, good monitor color, has light burn in for the word, "Game Over" which is typical of these games, but does not effect game play in any way. I've time tested it by having two friends over at different times and left it running for several hours.
The main harness is not hacked for any 5volt mod yet. This is rare to see today. The AR's have been serviced by Eldorado. Their names are on it and I think it's on the board too. I like this game and if it doesn't sell at the asking price (700.00) I will be happy to keep it along side of my Pole position 1. PM me if you are interested. I'm firm on the price. City is Allentown. PA.

this game has been sold!!!

Congrats. I didn't realize the price on these has risen so much. I know a few years ago these were $400 games. I guess the price of everything has gone up quite a bit the last two years or so.

Other thing is just how damn fragile and disaster prone PP1 and PP2 are. Fewer and fewer out there that freaking work! One that works with no issues is a miracle :D

yes PP2 price is on the rise especially here in our area. Congrats on the sale, someone will be happy with that
