If you watch his video, thats not correct.

thats why i said seems. I was going from memory only. It might be based on seconds left, but i'm not sure. I've only gotten it without a crash, but then usually, if i do crash, i just let the game end and start over.

I've played PP2 extensively. You get an ending explosion if you finish with 15 seconds or more remaining. Keep in mind that if it says "15" at the top of the screen, you actually have less than 15, which doesn't count. (You can notice this at the time bonus on the bottom of the screen after you finish, it will say something like 14.XX)

Now if you finish the game with 25 seconds or more, you get two ending explosions!

I finished test track with 29 seconds left on Funspots machine over the weekend.
I did not notice double explosion love. I am about to go back and review my video.
